Compounder Teknor Apex has acquired Lanier Color Co., a supplier of color concentrates and specialty compounds for the thermoplastics industry based in Gainesville, GA.

The acquisition comes on the heels of Teknor Apex’s acquisition of Dorum Color in August, and will help further accelerate its strategic objectives while giving customers access to more diversified products, said the company. Teknor Apex is headquartered in Pawtucket, RI, and operates 14 manufacturing facilities around the world.

The addition of Lanier expands the Teknor Apex portfolio to now include PVC color concentrates while adding to its specialty compounds for the building and construction market, a focus of Lanier. The company will continue to operate in Gainesville and will work in coordination with Teknor Color’s current manufacturing locations in Kentucky and Texas.

Teknor Color is a subsidiary of Teknor Apex Co. and offers a full line of custom and standard colors, as well as additives and special effects for a spectrum of polymers, including olefins, styrenics, PET, and engineering plastics.
